CJAD is an English radio part of the Astral GROUP. It differentiates itself by its continuous coverage of the news and by its many live sports transmission such as Canadians and Alouettes games.
To modernize its image, the radio mandated Youville to revamp its visual identity. The agency decided to put the emphasis on CJAD’s unique positioning: the English spoken radio of Montreal. The use of the phylactery underlines the importance of dialogs in the radio’s programming while putting forward the frequency of the station to facilitate its memorization and attract new listeners. In addition, the use of the key words «News, Talk, Radio» reinforces this positioning based on oral communication.
The imaging developed by the agency takes back the lines and colors of the previous logo in order to preserve its notoriety among the listeners of the station. Simple and sleek, the new logo was designed to live throughout time. Imposing, it also reflects the seriousness and professionalism of CJAD.
